Vitamin C and Your Health

Vitamin C is one of those things that are vital to your health.
Also known and ascorbic acid -that comes from “scurvy” which is the sickness that used to strike sailors in olden times, making them lose their teeth, their gums bleed and eventually death. In fact scurvy began to disappear when someone noticed that ships that fed their sailors fresh limes and oranges weren’t ravished by scurvy.
Our bodies do not produce vitamin C, unlike other animals, so we have to get it through the food we eat and that way make sure that vitamin C and your health play their roles correctly.
Our bones and teeth are formed healthily thanks to vitamin C.
It has also been shown to help against cancer, heart disease and stress.
Although it doesn’t help directly against colds, research indicates that people who have taken vitamin C, either as a supplement or directly through fruit, had less risk of complications, and this is because it strengthens our immune system.
Vitamin C, we can’t make, but we must have it.
