The expectations and guidelines : Any child needs direction, especially if they are extra dependent on adults around them. Child with autism is not an exemption. To be able to teach a child with autism, you must draw a clear structure on the guidelines inside the learning facility. The expected behavior and the behavior that must be avoided should also be clear on the child.
The curriculum ñ Set a curriculum based on the child’s characteristic. Take note that autism should not be the basis of teaching. Instead, the basis should be on the child’s capacity to learn. Autism should not dictate what and how to teach.
The tools ñ Like teaching pre-school, teaching child with autism requires lots of educational and fun tools. Since play enables each child to learn new things and discover the world, you should provide them with the right tools.
